2025 Girls Night Out

Empowering Women and Celebrating Community at the 14th Annual NewRoads Girls Night Out

On March 6, 2025, the NewRoads Performing Arts Centre was transformed into a scene straight out of New York City for the 14th Annual NewRoads Girls Night Out. In honour of International Women’s Day, guests stepped into A Night at the Plaza Hotel - a glamorous, energy-filled evening that captured the spirit of connection, laughter, and empowerment. From the elegant doormen in white gloves and top hats to the glimmering hotel-inspired décor, every detail brought the theme to life. Guests mingled over wine and signature appetizers from A Million Mouthfuls Catering while snapping photos in true Plaza style.

At its heart, the event was more than an elegant night out - it was a show of strength and community. Over 20 women-owned businesses took part, offering local shoppers a chance to discover unique products and connect with inspiring entrepreneurs. Raffle prizes, all donated by community members and partners, added excitement throughout the evening. Jennifer Ritter, President and CEO of the Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation, hosted with warmth and charisma, keeping the crowd engaged from start to finish. Guests were treated to a lively dance performance by Artistica Dance Studio before keynote speaker Jenn Walker took the stage, delivering an honest, funny and heartfelt talk about womanhood and resilience.

Proceeds from the event supported Girls Inc., an organization that inspires girls across North America to be strong, smart, and bold. Through mentorship, advocacy, and education, Girls Inc. creates safe spaces for young women to grow and thrive.

The night was a huge success - filled with laughter, energy, and even a mid-event bar restock. A few brave men joined in the fun too, surrounded by hundreds of inspiring women. None of it would have been possible without the dedication of community partners who help bring this special event to life each year. Here’s to another remarkable Girls Night Out - and to the power of women lifting each other up.
